WHO WE ARE

Established in 1986, multiple award-winning Wright Signature Homes has grown to become a respected name in today’s building industry, having carefully carved a reputation of uncompromising excellence in quality construction, design and dedicated attention to every individual client. Our expertise has also been applied to non-residential enterprises with projects including group title housing, townhouse and unit developments, showrooms, corporate office complexes and industrial sheds. Managing director, Rick Herden, worked as a labourer on construction sites before commencing studies in Architecture at Queensland University of Technology. While studying, Rick worked in architectural firms where he performed a wide range of duties including design, documentation and contract administration on numerous industrial, commercial and high-end residential projects.

In 1997, Rick chose to pursue a career in Project Management and performed this role on several large education and commercial projects including the Queen Street Mall and Townsville Strand redevelopments as well as prestige residential projects throughout Clayfield, Hamilton and Pullenvale in Brisbane. In 1999, he joined Wright Developments as construction manager. Rick became an equity partner and co-director of Wright Developments Qld Pty Ltd in 2004, before taking over full ownership from founding director Roger Wright in 2016. Rick is supported by his wife Simone, who holds an accounting and business degree from the Sunshine Coast University, and handles the accounting and administration side of the business.
